Three boys from the Northwest Manchester soccer team in Rogers, Arkansas, took one step closer to fulfilling their dream of playing professionally. Eldon, Isaac and Juanito had the opportunity to attend tryouts with the prestigious Mexican club Los Tigres, thanks to the efforts of their coach Ruben Valderas.

Valderas, a soccer enthusiast who has dedicated 15 years to coaching youth without pay, received an invitation from Mr. Lupe of Dallas to take three players to exclusive tryouts at the Los Tigres academy in Monterrey, Mexico.

“We donate our time, money and effort to train these kids, offering them a healthy and disciplined pastime. Now, it can also be a channel to professional soccer,” said Valderas, who sees his players as sons.

Despite the nerves, the three talented youngsters enjoyed the exciting experience of playing at the Los Tigres facility and being surrounded by hundreds of other hopefuls. Although they are still waiting for the results, Valderas hopes to be able to take more players of different ages in the near future.

The children’s parents also encourage this path. “It’s an excellent choice both physically and mentally,” they commented, urging other parents to involve their children in sports to encourage discipline and move away from sedentary habits.

With hope and perseverance, these promising young Arkansas soccer players continue to train hard to fulfill their dreams. Their stories inspire an entire community to support young talent and provide opportunities.
