Every young soccer player’s dream in Northwest Arkansas!

Northwest Arkansas is poised to become a new epicenter of youth soccer in the United States. In news that is causing a stir in the local soccer community, the prestigious Club Tigres de Monterrey, one of the most successful teams in the Mexican league, has decided to establish its first affiliate academy in the southeast of the country in the city of Rogers, Arkansas.

This exciting opportunity comes thanks to the tireless work of the NWA Manchester club, whose directors Wilson Valdez and Ruben Balderas have worked hard to forge this strategic alliance with the Tigres. After months of negotiations, the agreement was finally finalized that will allow NWA Manchester to become NWA Tigers Academy as of June 2024.

What began as an ambitious dream, after impressing Tigers scouts at a cup in Dallas, has materialized into a reality that promises to open unimaginable doors for the region’s young talent. Imagine the excitement of a boy or girl who dreams of becoming a professional soccer player and will now have the opportunity to train directly under the tutelage of one of Mexico’s most emblematic clubs.

But this news will not only benefit current NWA Manchester players. The new Tigers NWA Academy is expected to attract other clubs in the region, creating a real soccer buzz in Northwest Arkansas. In addition, possible links with the area’s future USL franchise are being explored, which could open up even more paths to professionalism for these promising young players.

In a world where soccer is increasingly global, this initiative demonstrates that talent can flourish in any corner of the world. Young soccer players from Northwest Arkansas now have a unique opportunity to pursue their dreams and, with dedication and hard work, perhaps one day wear the iconic Monterrey Tigres jersey.
